Ontarians Now Able to Legally eSign Agreements!
As of July 1st, 2015, Ontarians are now able to legally esign agreements of purchase and sale! The Government of Ontario announced that electronic signatures on agreements of purchase and sale will now be considered legal and binding.
This change signals a new era for the Ontario real estate industry. Gone will be the days of driving across town or couriering documents for signature. No more faxing, scanning or emailing documents back and forth between parties. Here at Instanet Solutions, we’re thrilled that Ontario has finally caught up with North America.
With 4000 British Colombia and Alberta real estate professionals already using Authentisign to create and sign documents legally and securely on any device, we’re very excited to be welcoming Ontario to the paperless club.
Attorney General, Madeleine Meilleur, notes that buying or selling a home is “one of the most complex, time-consuming transactions that most people make – it’s also one of the most important.” Thanks to this new decision by the Government of Ontario, the process associated with buying or selling a home will become infinitely more secure and efficient.
We look forward to working with new and existing Instanet Solutions clients to help take their businesses paperless. For more information about Authentisign available through CREA’s WebForms and our suite of integrated products, click here.
